History and Corporate Philosophy

Architecturally Engineered Structures, PLLC

 

Architecturally Engineered Structures, PLLC, founded in November of 2001, was created to assure that the architectural community had a structural engineering  consultant that was willing to work to provide the structure for the project the architect envisioned. Our engineers are not bound by a project’s budget, but only by the tenets of The Engineers Creed.

Our Engineers shall:

Some important background and philosophical information that we at Architecturally Engineered Structures would like potential clients to know.

 

We respect architecture.

 

Our name was chosen in an attempt to state as clearly as possible that it is our goal to provide structural engineering consulting services that meets with the architectural requirements. There are cases where a structure should govern.  There are also times where the structural engineer must inform the design team of construction costs/concerns involved with a chosen architectural direction so an informed decision can be made.

 

We respect the work of the Architect.

We make every effort to create the structure desired and provide continuous and timely information for the development of the building.  We also believe communication and coordination are critical and make every effort keep the architect up to date with our progress, concerns, and conclusions.

 

We respect the work of other disciplines.

We proactively request locations of major mechanical and electrical conveying systems in an attempt to minimize the structure, as needed and possible, to more reasonably allow for these systems.

 

We respect deadlines.

We wish to make every effort to meet deadlines that have been agreed upon.  When the deadlines are for contract documents, we want them to be complete. We will exhaust our resources (and ourselves) to provide the agreed upon services within the agreed upon times.  This includes shop drawing review.
